Ann Maura Hinton M Ed. in Special Education, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. She has over thirty years of experience teaching a wide variety of children with learning differences. She served as the director of Empower Ministries, a program developed to build bridges from frustration to hope by equipping, strengthening and shepherding children with learning differences academically, relationally and emotionally. ( Ann Maura currently directs Bridge Educational Services at Lifeline Children's Services and co-directs the Camp Empower, a camp for vulnerable children.) She is certified in cognitive- developmental brain training and works to equip families with the tools needed to increase cognitive development.
Barbara A. Griffith graduated from Mississippi College with a B.S.B.A. in Management. She was with SOS Oil Company, Mississippi State Auditor’s Office, Mississippi Public Service Commission and a local accounting firm, Conrad & Burnett, as a staff accountant. She stepped out on her own in 2001 as President and CEO of Griffith and Associates, providing tax and financial compilations to both individuals and small businesses. Her areas of expertise involved payroll, corporate financial compilations, and non-profit start-ups, while her passion was working with individuals through tax preparation and tax planning. One such client was The Westminster School at Oak Mountain of which she eventually was hired as their Director of Finance and Human Resources.
Barbara is married to Keith Griffith and will celebrate 29 years of marriage this year. They have two daughters- one of which is a senior at Westminster School at Oak Mountain while the other is a senior at the University of South Alabama. Through the years Barbara has helped to lead several ministries and charities as well as serve her church family. She and her family are members of Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church, PCA.
Shelby Segrest is originally from Mississippi but grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated from Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi with at BA in history. She is married to Hudson who is a cardiologist in private practice in the Birmingham area. They have three children, Ella, James, and Matthew. Ella, previously attended New Beginnings Tutorial and is now attending Evangel Classical Christian School. James and Matthew attend The Westminster School at Oak Mountain. The Segrest are active members of Faith Presbyterian Church where Shelby leads a small group for women, serves on the children's ministry team, and volunteers in the nursery. Shelby is a stay-at-home Mom who is never at home. The family lives in Indian Springs with their cat, hamster, two chickens, and two goats.
